Senior Fellows
Following university graduation, fellows transition into their status as Senior Fellows, which they acquire upon successful completion of the learning and participation requirements of the Junior Fellowship and graduation from their host university. They continue to interact among their peers, mentor younger fellows, and become active in the governance of the network.

To date, since 1991, the Melton Foundation boasts nearly 400 Senior Fellows who can be found in virtually every continent of the world. Senior Fellows also find themselves in diverse professions - as doctors, lawyers, professors, teachers, IT specialists, and entrepreneurs. As the earlier cohorts of Melton Fellows grow older, many are finding themselves in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership, such as some of the Notable Fellows of the Melton Foundation.
Building Mutual Support Networks
Due to the experiences they are exposed to throughout the Junior Fellowship, Senior Fellows of the Melton Foundation go out into the professional world armed with a set of intercultural, leadership, and technology skills garnered from their global training, travel, and collaboration; these skills complement and augment their formal university training as top students from their universities.
Regional Senior Fellow Structure: "Connecting Locally and Globally"
The Melton Foundation emphasizes the need to pinpoint collaboration across three specific dimensions: Location, Life Stage, and Interests. Because these "global citizens" are a highly mobile group of people, the Foundation has designed a structure that "takes the Foundation to the fellows" through several regions, each with its own leadership, to provide venues for Senior Fellow interactions, both online and face-to-face, and to stay involved with the Activities and Events organized by others.
